Sunday MorningThe Slow Morning
Rest is not the reward for the work; on a mind built like yours, it is the maintenance the work depends on.
The Practice
Let this morning be deliberately under-scheduled — one slow thing done well rather than five things half-attended. Eat without a screen, and notice the temperature and texture of the food as you go; this is how you bring the nervous system down from the week's frequency. If a task tries to pull you back to the desk, write it on a list for tomorrow and physically set the pen down. Sunday is the cooling that makes Monday's heat possible.
