    A Founders Day Letter

    Hoffman on Speed

"If you are not embarrassed by the first version of your product, you've launched too late." — Reid Hoffman

    The Practice

Take the thing you have been polishing in private and ship a rougher version of it today to one real person who can respond. Before you send, notice the flinch in your stomach and recognize it as the signal of being early enough, not the signal to wait. Perfectionism is often a fast brain protecting itself from feedback it could metabolize easily. Send it, then let the response, not your fear, decide the next cut.
