Saturday MorningThe Open Field
The unscheduled hour is not wasted time. It is the field where the ideas you cannot summon finally come to graze.
The Practice
Leave one hour today completely unplanned — no list, no goal, no productive intent smuggled in. Sit, wander, tinker, let attention go where it wants and follow it without guilt. The neurodivergent mind generates its best connections in the gaps, not the grind, but only if the gaps are real. Resist the urge to fill it. Whatever surfaces in that open hour, note it down at the end and let the rest go.
