    Daily Momentum

Single-tasking is not slower. It is the only speed at which the deep work actually gets made.

    The Practice

Pick your most important task and run it with everything else closed — one tab, one document, phone in another room, for forty-five minutes. The mind that holds five things holds none of them well; depth requires the narrowing of the aperture. When the timer ends, stand, breathe, and let the body reset before the next block. By the third block you will notice work finishing that usually leaks across whole days.
