Saturday MorningThe Slow Morning
Speed is a tool, not a temperament. The mind that cannot slow down has not mastered its pace; it has surrendered to it.
The Practice
This morning, do one ordinary thing at half speed — make breakfast, drink it slowly, look out the window without reaching for a screen. Let the body register that nothing is chasing you right now. The neurodivergent nervous system often runs hot by default; a deliberately slow hour is not idleness, it is recalibration. Notice the moment the urgency loosens its grip. Carry that slower setting into the rest of the day if you can.
