The Practice

Today, open a blank page and write the heading: What I am signing my name to from this year. Not a list of wins — a list of things you will claim as authored by you, decisions you stand behind even now. Keep it to five lines. Read it aloud once; notice where your chest tightens, because the body flags the lines you do not yet believe. Those are the ones to earn back this month.
