    Saturday Morning

    The Long Walk

Rest is not the absence of work. It is the part of the work where the roots grow in the dark.

    The Practice

Walk somewhere outdoors this morning with no destination and no audio — let the pace be slower than feels natural. Notice the cold edge in the autumn air on your face and hands; let the body register the season changing. When a work thought arrives, do not chase it and do not push it away — let it walk beside you. The mind sorts itself at walking pace far better than at desk pace.
