    A Founders Day Letter

    Catmull on Candor

"If you give a good idea to a mediocre team, they will screw it up. If you give a mediocre idea to a great team, they will either fix it or come up with something better." — Ed Catmull

    The Practice

Pick one decision you are protecting from scrutiny because you are quietly proud of it. Bring it to the one person most likely to find its flaw, and ask them to break it before the market does. The neurodivergent founder often guards ideas to protect a fragile sense of being right; the durable founder runs the idea through the team precisely because the team is the engine that makes it survive the distance.
