    Daily Momentum

The mid-week artifact is the one nobody can write for you. Messages prove you were present; the document proves you were thinking.

    The Practice

Block ninety uninterrupted minutes for the single piece of thinking only you can do this week — the memo, the brief, the decision written down. Put the phone in another room, not face-down on the desk; proximity alone taxes the attention you are trying to concentrate. Draft badly and completely before you edit a single line. Wednesday is a making day, not a responding day.
