    The First Mile

A long distance is not won in the final mile. It is lost in a careless first one — the pace you set in the opening hours is the pace your body will defend all week.

    The Practice

In the first ninety minutes today, do not check anything that can respond to you — set the pace deliberately, not reactively. Open the one document or build that defines the week and make visible progress on it before the inbox sets your rhythm for you. The neurodivergent engine locks onto whatever it touches first; touch the deep thing first, and the week will orbit it. Touch the noise first, and you will spend five days chasing the pace someone else set.
