    Saturday Morning

    The Quiet Field

Stillness is not empty. It is the only condition in which the important thought is loud enough to hear.

    The Practice

Find a patch of quiet today — a park bench, a back garden, a still room — and stay there with no task for twenty minutes. Let your attention drift wherever it wants; do not steer it. The mind that is finally unmonitored will surface the thing it has been trying to tell you all week. You are not being unproductive. You are giving the deep signal a frequency clear enough to come through.
