    Daily Momentum

Most people do not lose the day to the big crisis. They lose it to the fourteen small permissions they granted to be interrupted.

    The Practice

Today, count your context switches for one hour — make a tally mark each time you jump tasks. The number will be higher than you guessed; the wiring switches fast and forgets it switched. Then for the next hour, batch every incoming ping into a single window at the end. The point is not discipline for its own sake. It is protecting the deep-focus state that takes twenty minutes to enter and one notification to destroy.
